The Unexpected Beginning of Hai Kah Lang (Taman Cheras)
Hai Kah Lang’s story wasn’t part of a grand design—it was a serendipitous turn of fate. When the pandemic forced －Founder Mr Steven Tan to close his beloved seafood steamboat restaurant in Balakong, he pivoted to running a seafood retail shop nearby. Then, opportunity struck: a local breakfast noodle stall was about to shutter its doors.
In that moment, inspiration took hold.
By December 2021, Hai Kah Lang was more than just an idea—it was a reality. Just one month later, we opened our doors, serving the community with steaming bowls of fresh, robustly flavored seafood noodles. What began as an unexpected twist became a new chapter—one built on resilience, passion, and the simple joy of sharing good food.
